Web Accessibility, Discovery & Design Sprint
As a UX/UI Web designer, I deliver workshops to share knowledge and promote best practices. This collection highlights workshops on topics from Learning and Development to key stages in the Design process. Here are my three highlights for 2024.
This week-long workshop engaged the team in the initial design process, gathering their insights on the organisation’s structure, mission, and values. Drawing from their client experiences, participants also contributed to user journey maps, identifying areas for improvement and current user pain points.
This involvement helped stakeholders empathise with their users and encouraged active approaches to optimise user experiences for diverse audiences.
Both online and in-person testers were recruited to evaluate the prototype against KPIs. To learn more about this project, please visit Framework Digital.
As part of the user-centred design process, I conducted a discovery workshop to gather key information from stakeholders about their current experiences and their vision for the new website. This workshop focused on the “Empathise & Define” stages.
Using storytelling and a hands-on exercise to deconstruct landing page elements, we identified critical information:
The insights from this workshop guided the next stage: “Ideate,” where we developed concepts to address user pain points.
This free workshop aims to share knowledge and support SMEs in improving their web practices, with a focus on accessible website designs. We explored what accessibility means in everyday web experiences. After the break, we discussed key concepts for accessible user interfaces, such as colours, branding, and content. This encouraged participants to discuss how they could enhance their own websites for their users, feeling empowered with new knowledge. We received fantastic feedback from participants.
